Dental implants are becoming an increasingly popular treatment strategy for missing teeth. In fact, according to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, there are 3 million people in the U.S. who have implants, and that number is growing by around half a million every single year. At Nashville Restorative Dentistry, we offer a variety of dental implant treatment options. One of our most popular is BioHorizons titanium dental implants.
Dental implants are the new standard for tooth replacement solutions. This is because they are easy to insert and have a near-perfect success rate. First, the implant itself is secured directly into the bone where the missed tooth is located. Then, the bone heals around the implant, allowing it to act as if it is a natural tooth root. After this, a bridge, crown, or removable dentures are placed over the implant in order to allow the prosthetics normal functionality. Additionally, with dental implants, patients don’t have to worry about chewing food or smiling.
Well, there are plenty of people that could benefit from restorative dentistry, especially prosthetic implants. Essentially, anyone that is missing one tooth, multiple teeth, or all of their teeth, can select dental implants as an effective solution. According to the American College of Prosthodontists, more than 35 million Americans are missing all their teeth in one or both jaws.
As holistic, comprehensive dentists, we value our patient’s total body health alongside their oral health. Utilizing science and innovation, BioHorizons’ dental implant products have proven esthetic and function results. These implants are made using titanium, which is the most widely used material in the dental implant industry. Titanium is a wonderful material option for dental implants, as it is lightweight, strong, and biocompatible.
Additionally, BioHorizons uses Laser-Lok® technology. Laser-Lok® technology is proven to reduce bone loss in comparison to other, more traditional implant products.

Issue – Several missing teeth, new decay around bridework and individual crowns, and several abscessed teeth. There were not enough stable teeth remaining on top to base a restorative plan around.
Solution – All the upper teeth and the non restorable lower back teeth were removed. Six implants were placed in the upper jaw to secure a zirconia hybrid denture which is not removable by the patient. A lower partial denture was made to more economically replace the missing back teeth on the bottom.
We understand the importance of having a dentist you can trust. And that means not being sent off to a different specialist every time you need a new procedure.
