This Franklin / Cool Springs dentist has been named 2017 and 2018 Best Dental Practice in Williamson County and offers the area’s most comprehensive menu of cosmetic dental services available. Here, the staff answers questions regarding teeth whitening, veneers, implants, and more.
Nashville Restorative Dentistry: Cosmetic dentistry focuses on the aesthetics of the mouth and teeth. While many cosmetic procedures, such as veneers and implants, can improve function, the main goal of cosmetic dentistry is to enhance appearance. Cosmetic dentistry is not about vanity, however, it is about restoring confidence and self-esteem. We use a combination of restorative and cosmetic dentistry to ensure each patient enjoys a healthy, functional, and beautiful smile.
Nashville Restorative Dentistry: KöR Whitening is the most common cosmetic dental whitening service we offer. It is almost universally effective and renders predictable and reliable results for patients that want an affordable enhancement. This method of tooth whitening can restore natural tooth color and is effective against discoloration caused by tetracycline antibiotics. More information, including scientific research papers and before and after pictures, is available at KorWhitening.com.
Nashville Restorative Dentistry: Not at all. A veneer is essentially a shell that covers an existing tooth. They are made of ceramic and can change the length, shape, size, and color of the teeth. Veneers are used almost exclusively on visible teeth. A dental implant is a permanent replacement for missing teeth and is anchored directly into the jawbone. You can use an implant crown to replace a single tooth or as an anchor point for a bridge or other dental prosthetic. Dental implants can be utilized in the vast majority of cases, even in adults with gum disease-related bone loss.
Nashville Restorative Dentistry: Absolutely. At Nashville Restorative Dentistry, we offer two innovative teeth-straightening options. Invisalign utilizes clear plastic aligner trays to gradually shift teeth into place. It is a discrete process that is suitable for both adults and teens. For those in a hurry, Six Month Smiles is an option. This cosmetic braces system is effective in correcting rotated, crowded, and unevenly spaced teeth. Six Month Smiles is minimally invasive and utilizes tooth-colored dental wire and clear brackets.
Nashville Restorative Dentistry: There are a number of things to look for in a cosmetic dentist. Education and training, professional credentials, and the integrity of the provider and their staff are important. Your preferred cosmetic dentist should provide an extensive portfolio of their work. Perhaps most importantly, you have to listen to your gut. If you do not feel comfortable, chances are good that you are in the wrong dentist’s chair.
