Sheila

Issue – Her front two teeth had failed root canals that were infected and the teeth were not restorable.  She also wanted to improve the darkness of the side front teeth and the notching along the gum lines of the canines and premolars.

Solution – Two implants replaced the front teeth after they were removed and the sockets were grafted.  Lower teeth were straightened with Invisalign while implants were integrating.  Custom abutments and crowns were used to restore the implants at the same time as new crowns were placed back to the premolars on each side to create the ideal smile she desired.

Jennifer H.

Jennifer

Issue: She was concerned about the continued loss of enamel that was becoming more noticeable on her back teeth as well as the chipping edges of her front teeth.  Back teeth were becoming sensitive and she wanted to replace the missing molars as well.  The nightguard she had been prescribed by a previous dentist was not stopping  her teeth from wearing down and chipping so she wanted to fix the cause of the problem rather than treating just the symptoms.

Solution: A diagnostic plan was developed to replace missing teeth and improve her bite and function.  This allowed us to rebuild the damaged teeth in a way that they could work together and not continue to chip and break down.  This also allowed the teeth to be brightened and create the other changes to her smile she desired – check out the before and after changes in the chewing surfaces of the teeth in our Full Mouth Rehabilitation section.

Issue: Crowded and rotated teeth, chipped edges on the two front teeth, and a general color darker than what she wanted.

Solution:  Invisalign clear aligners were used to expand the narrowed upper arch and improve the rotations and overall position of the teeth.  A combination of crowns and veneers were then used on the upper eight teeth to create the broader, brighter smile that she desired.

Neal C.

Neal

Issue: An old existing bridge was no longer esthetically acceptable to him.  The midline of the two front teeth looked tilted and the space between the replacement teeth and the gums created a visible darkness in his smile.

Solution: The old bridge was removed and a new all ceramic bridge was made to straighten the midline, fill in the dark spaces, and create more natural appearing gum contours.  The upper right canine and lateral incisor as well as the upper left lateral incisor are replaced by this bridge.

Dino B.

Dino

Issue: Several genetically missing and undersized teeth led to years of temporary fixes that kept breaking.  He desired a long term smile makeover option that wasn’t removable and would function without constant breaking and need for repair.

Solution: A combination of zirconia crowns and bridges were used on the upper teeth to correct the way they function with the bottom teeth, resize the teeth that were too small, and replace the teeth that were missing.  Eventually the plan will be to perform a similar workflow on the bottom teeth to match the appearance of the uppers.

Issue: Uneven gum line on the two front teeth and a mismatch of color and translucency across the teeth, fillings, and crowns visible in the smile.

Karen

Issue: Broken and stained bonding on front teeth, dark space at the gumline between the front two teeth

Solution: As a more economical alternative to porcelain veneers, bonded resin veneers were hand applied to the front four teeth.  A 3D printed digital mockup allowed us to make a custom matrix which we used to place injection molded composite resin onto the front four teeth – improving contours and creating a consistent bright color.
