Steps to a Complete Smile with Teeth in a Day

Dental implants are considered the gold standard of teeth replacement because of their life-like appearance and durability. Teeth in a Day ideally takes four steps, and you’ll walk out of the dental office with a new smile while your implants are healing.

• Tooth extraction: If you have failing teeth, these must be extracted first to create room for your implants. We offer gentle extractions to ensure minimal trauma or disturbance to the surrounding bone
• Dental implant placement: We will place four to six titanium or zirconia dental implants at a precise location in the jawbone. We use 3D-guided implant surgery to place your treatment according to the plan. While the dental implant surgery may sound scary, you have nothing to fear. Before the procedure, we numb your mouth with local anesthesia for minimal discomfort. We also offer sedation dentistry for patients with dental anxiety
• Temporary restoration: After stable implants are placed, we can attach a temporary denture to them to restore your smile. This will be your restoration for the next three to four months as your implants heal and stabilize within the bone
• Permanent restoration: After healing, you’ll return to our office for a custom-fitted, long term restoration. This is designed to perfectly match the shape, size, texture, and color of the natural teeth exactly as you’d like to see them look

Issue: He was concerned about the extreme amount of tooth wear he had noticed over time.  Significant enamel loss had created teeth that were shorter than they should be, rough on the edges, and sensitive to foods and temperatures.  The broken down shape of the back teeth had also created an inability for him to find a comfortable and repeatable bite position, which accelerated the wear and chipping.

Solution: A diagnostic plan was developed to relax his muscles, find a new bite position, and rebuild the damaged teeth to a place that was comfortable and capable of functioning without repeating the damage of the past.  This view shows the completed upper arch with e.max crowns on every tooth.  The bottom arch has yet to be completed and the back teeth have long term provisionals on the top of them to keep him stable in his new bite position until the lower teeth can all be crowned as well.
